What compounded medication means.

Compounded medication is a drug that a licensed pharmacy prepares custom for a patient based on a prescription from a licensed provider. It may differ from a commercially available drug in dose, delivery method, or formulation — but it is still subject to regulatory oversight and must be dispensed by a licensed compounding pharmacy.
